Hart's Floral was started in 1943 by Fred Hart. Previously Fred and his brother Randy operated the Hart Brother's Nursery on Best Road. You may still see the Hart Brother's sign at Christenson's Nursery.

By every story we've ever heard, Fred Hart was a truly a wonderful, kind, generous man. He was committed to his community, his family and his friends. Fred died in the summer of 1996, just before Kurt and Colleen bought Hart's Floral from the second owners.

Colleen McKnight and Kurt Kazda bought the shop in 1996 after searching for a large shop in small town. In 1999 they moved Hart's Floral from it's orginial location on Old Hwy 99 South to the busy corner of Riverside Drive & Commercial Street.

With it's talented, energenic staff and spacious new shop Hart's Floral has won 'Best Florist' in the Business Pulse reader's Poll since 1996. Hart's prides itself on being the Oldest, Largest and Best Florist in Skagit County.

With a nod to the great foundation started by Fred Hart and our own community service ethic, Colleen and Kurt's mission statement for Hart's Floral is to:
